Post written by Peter G. James Sinclair.

Whenever I sit down to write a brand new Motivational Memo I can never be certain as to which article is going to strike a cord with my readership.

So today I decided to dig back and see just which articles have reached the largest audience. In total these twelve have to this point reached and been liked by 161,749 individuals from over 160 nations.

And while we’re here together I want to say thank you for taking the time to read the material that I present at Motivational Memo. Please tell your friends.

But before I share these articles with you I’d like to explain a significant change that I have made to the site.

Why I Have Removed Comments

Because I find in my industry that the quality of an article is often judged by the number of comments associated with it, I want to release my blog from this analysis, and if you wish to make any comments about any articles please go to my new Facebook page, or email me, or meet me on Twitter. I find that these three places are where I want to invite my treasured readers to share their wisdom, while keeping this blog free for the expressions made by the writers of these blog articles.

You may have noticed that I have started to sprinkle guest posts throughout our offerings. If you would at any time like to submit a post then please check out my submissions page.

So here are the most liked and most read dozen articles for your enjoyment and enlightenment.

What Love Is & What Love Is Not

In the English language love is a word whose meaning, at times, is distorted.

So please allow me to enlighten you about what love is and what love is not.

There are several Greek words for love, as the Greek language distinguishes how the word is used. Ancient Greek has four distinct words for love: agápe, éros, philía, and storgē.

However, as with other languages, it has been historically difficult to separate the meanings of these words. Nonetheless, the senses in which these words were generally used are given in this article.

4 Powerful Guidelines For An Extraordinary Life

I had the awesome privilege of being accompanied on a 14 day, 14 city and 18 speaking engagements tour by my tour manager Mr Bernie Gray. At 77 years young, to be in his company for such a length of time was a real privilege. I travelled in the same vehicle, shared meals with him, was introduced to my audiences by him and learned how to effectively deal with people from all levels of society – from children, teenagers through to business leaders, church leaders, mayors, along with local, state and federal politicians.

Yet amidst that, I knew that this man, who in his business prime commanded five companies, brought Subaru into my nation, co-ordinated multi million dollar projects and oversaw hundreds of employees, was going to teach me something of significance.

It was one day, as we were being driven along, that Bernie shared the following four statements with me. He didn’t elaborate on them greatly – and so with these statements forged into my being I want to add my personal interpretation.

11 Must Read Life Lessons From John Lennon

“For those of you in the cheap seats I’d like ya to clap your hands to this one; the rest of you can just rattle your jewelery!” John Lennon

I remember hearing ‘Hey Jude’ blaring from the speakers at school when I was a young boy. I was as much caught up in Beatle-mania as the next person. The ‘Fab Four’ totally turned the music world upside down with their vast array of melodies, clever lyrics and singable tunes.

They were dynamic, controversial, trendsetters, radicals, confrontational plus a whole lot more.

But even though I love the cheekiness – as represented in the above quote – of John Lennon, there is so much more that he shared with the world apart from his music. Therein lies a depth of wisdom that I would like to expand upon.

So let us explore together yet another side of the man that encouraged us all to ‘Imagine’.

The 8 Most Inspirational Quotes About Life

Inspirational quotes are the oxygen that has breathed fresh invigoration into my life throughout the years. When facing personal challenges, a quote has often popped into my head and inspired me to press on. When I’ve needed to encourage someone else, often a quote will raise its head up and I find myself sharing it with them.

Quotes appear on Twitter with a vengeance, and are often the most liked and shared expressions found on a range of social media.

People love quotes. Why? They inspire. They motivate. They ignite. They put the gas in our empty tank.

Because they are bite-sized, they are easily digestible, and of course the greatest value is that they are memorable.

So allow me to share with you, in my opinion, the 8 most inspirational quotes ever uttered.

12 Of The Most Motivational Movies Of All Time

Movies are one of the tools that I personally use to inspire and motivate me.

I’m very selective as to what movies I watch, and in most cases I don’t just watch to be entertained. I want to take away from a movie something that I can readily apply to my life. Sometimes it’s a word. Sometimes it’s a phrase. And sometimes it’s the example of an underdog overcoming odds stacked against them. That way I truly get my money’s worth.

The movies I have selected are more than pure entertainment. They are in fact an investment into my heart, mind and soul.

As you take the time to enjoy these small portions, most of which are trailers, may you be inspired and motivated through the marvelous vehicle of film.

For here are, in my opinion, 12 of not just the most motivational movies of all time, but the greatest motivational movies ever…

I warn you in advance that you might get your box of tissues out ready to use – and be inspired all over again – to become all that you have been created to become.

How To Change Your Life

‘When we are no longer able to change a situation – we are challenged to change ourselves.’ Viktor Frankl

Situations come. Situations go.

But no matter what situation we find ourselves in, we are given the wonderful opportunity to not always change the situation or even how others respond to that situation, but rather to change the way we think, the way we respond, and the very way we live.

The How To’s Of Time Management & Life Efficiency

In the early 1900s when Ivy Lee advised the managers of Bethlehem Steel to list their top priorities and to then work on tasks in that prioritized order, not proceeding until a task was completed, he was rewarded handsomely.

Charles M. Schwab, who was the head of the company at the time, paid Lee $25,000 because of the power of his advice that positively effected the performance of his managers and of his entire company.

Snakes & Ladders – The Game Of Life

Have you ever played the game ‘Snakes & Ladders?’

It’s a bit like life. Snakes take you down or backwards, and ladders take you up or forwards. In life, after you have experienced the exhilaration of a ladder, it is quite possible that you could bump into a snake. But on the flip-side, after experiencing the humbling emitted by an encounter with a snake, your next move could land you at the foot of a ladder.

Fathoming Life’s Full Stops

When we are born we are issued with a life sentence.

Now there are two ways that we can approach this. We can either treat our  life as if we have been imprisoned into a set path of drudgery, restricted living and repetitive doldrums, or else we can treat it like writing a book.

Yours and my book of life is made up of a whole collected group of sentences. And each of these sentences are denoted by punctuation such as commas, colons, semi-colons, the occasional exclamation mark, lots of question marks, hyphens, and the inevitable appearance of the full stop.

And it is in this treatise that I particularly want to take a look at – the full stop.
