The Strengthening Of Strong Faith

Even before we were married, Shelley and I decided upon a name for my fledgling business. Together we came up with the name ‘Outasight Music’. At the time I was performing and recording professionally as a singer/songwriter – hence the music in the name.

But what about the word ‘Outasight’? The inspiration came from the scripture, ‘We walk by faith, not by sight’ 2 Corinthians 5:7, and the word ‘outasight’ is Australian slang for something that is of an excellent nature – or first class.

And from that day on we have walked by faith and not by sight. There have been many valleys, numerous plains, and the occasional mountaintop. But amidst it all, though our faith has been tested time and time again, our faith has been strengthened.

‘Outasight Music’ has for some years now also become ‘Outasight Enterprises’, and its global influence is going to be effected in the days that lie ahead like never before – and both Shelley and I know that this has only been made possible because we have kept the faith, taught our children the faith, lived the faith, spoken the faith, and demonstrated faith in the God who has given us everything.

Without Him we can do nothing, and yet as we put our continued trust in Him, we can do all things through Him because it is He who strengthens us – and in strengthening us He continues to strengthen our faith.
