The Lake Of Mistake

If you have ever met a human who is adamant that they have never made a mistake, they’re lying. For we are all ‘cracked pots’ and are all flawed. We all have weaknesses. We have all failed. We have all fallen short.

So welcome to reality.

But I have great news. Faulty humans are the very ones who can perform and achieve the greatest of feats.

The first empowering foundation that you can establish in your life is that you have areas in your life that are far from perfection.

But don’t let that stop you. Let it inspire you to become the best you can possibly become by identifying your strengths, by developing those strengths and by living every day with passion.

And whenever you make a mistake – see it as a pebble on the shore of a deep, dark blue lake. Pick up that pebble and throw it into that lake, and watch as your mistake disappears into its murky depths. Then dust yourself off as you learn from the event, and move forward with the vision that you have for your life.

The challenge with many is that they hang onto these pebbles, and after twenty years they find themselves encased by a wall of pebbles to the point that they have even lost sight of the lake.

Whatever you do, don’t let the pebble stay on the shore. Pick it up immediately and toss it. For there is only one place for past mistakes, and that is within the ‘Lake of Mistake’.

  • Choice IS what matters most. We can choose to do one thing over another. We can choose to do nothing when we should doing something. We can choose to lose or choose to win. I choose to win.

A right choice enables a correct decision and a correct decision will lead us right up to the cusp of action. When you find yourself staring at action you are staring at another choice. That choice is to act or not. Decide today to act on your right choices. That’s my thoughts on your article. Great read. Thank you.
