It is in the place called obscurity that the maturing process does her greatest work. For it is from that place in the wilderness that you are translated from obstacle to influence, from challenge to championship, and from affliction to no restriction.

Many a great man or woman has been shaped and formed in the desert. For this is where the thirsty thrive and where the hungry dine.

Hardship shapes the desert dweller for leadership, and in the solitude is formed the foundations that will sustain them in the crowd.

In order to listen one must be silent. For in silence one can learn.

But in this day and age we are surrounded by noise, and it takes a disciplined human being to learn the art of silence. Before you speak, listen. For it is in the silence that strategy, security, and serenity can be established in your spirit, soul and body.

So nullify the noise by drawing aside in silence.

From personal experience I can attest to the spiritual uplift that I receive from the silence. In addition, my mind is cleared of the daily pressures that make up my journey on planet earth. Through this practice I gain both clarity and calmness.

We live in a world where there is an ever increasing demand upon our time, our talent and our treasure.

At times it’s as if we are being pulled one way, then pushed another, and at times dragged under by the demands of life – so much so that it can become a suffocating experience.

This is where you must establish your centre. Your centre is that place of peace and serene solitude where you can step from the daily pressures of life and find yourself amidst all the noise.

Don’t allow the expectations or demands of others to drive you. Maintain your integrity, and live in obedience to the call that has been placed upon your life. It is only as you maintain a state of balance that you will survive the waves that can crash on you from time to time, and glide to safety.
