I was challenged recently to dust off some old dreams that I had allowed to grow stale and rusty from lack of use.
It’s so exciting to dig them up again. It’s like being an archaeologist stumbling across an ancient relic and a new dig. For the old adage is true – where there is still life there is always hope.
It is never too late to refresh an old dream, to dust it off and go again. You simply need to relook at it with new eyes and renewed enthusiasm that is fired by your original vision.
So what dreams have you packed away in a box, stuffed in the attic or stored away in the garage?
It’s never too late to go again. You’re never too old to dream ridiculously outrageous dreams.

I have recently been embroiled in an ugly legal threat devised by men who have nothing better to do than to lure their prey into a net, and even before both myself and two other parties knew it, we were the victims of some vicious personal attacks aimed at destroying both ourselves and our businesses, and even some dear relationships that had been reforged between the time I first met these men until when the attacks began.
The sad thing is that these men are not what I would call stupid men. They are seemingly gifted with great talent, but have allowed themselves, because of past challenges faced, to seek devious ways to get ahead. And one of their greatest ploys seems to be that if their dreams are seemingly unachievable, that they will seek to steal or destroy the dreams of others in the process. How childish!
So how do you guard yourself against these dream stealers?
Here are just a few ways that I have, through experience, not only kept my dream in tact, but at the same time ever-expanded my dreams.

My pastor shared a powerful message at our recent vision night about how we need to enlarge our territory, that we have an assignment on our lives to fulfil, and that we have been called to have a big capacity.
Now what is capacity?
The ability to contain. But with the expansion of that capacity comes the ability and requirement of you to be able to hold more. And what does that look like? It unveils itself in the form of both responsibility and leadership. And at times it will often require you to go where others have never been.
In one essence it is the state of an explorer cutting through virgin and uncharted territory. It is not the place for the faint hearted, but rather the playground of the visionary.

In order for you to take possession there needs to be something within your life that becomes your obsession.
Half-hearted people will achieve half-baked results. Full-hearted individuals will reap full-blooded achievements.
No-one has ever achieved anything of lasting significance by dipping their little toe into the water. Those who have ever done anything that has impacted their generation and beyond has at some point plunged headlong into the depths of opportunity.

I was recently reviewing a random selection of my journals – I currently have forty of these on my home office bookshelf that cover a period of thirty years. In these precious volumes I have recorded the intimate reflections of my thoughts, my dreams, my concerns, my plans, my hopes and my desires. And as I flicked from page to page I could sense the struggle, I could feel the fight that was encapsulated in every word that I scribbled on those pages.
For within these volumes has been waged many a battle. This combat was, and is to this day, my personal struggle to unveil my destiny and to possess my future.
Every single page resembled a wrestling match as I tossed and I turned with my thought processes. The wrestle is represented by every stroke of my pen upon the pages found within these precious journals.
But as I read page after page I discovered a truth. And the truth was this: Your future and my future must be possessed.
