My Prayer

Impure religion is the greatest confuser of men’s souls. It interprets God’s original plan for mankind and distorts it to a point where men fail to understand what the difference is.

And that is when they seem to turn to Atheism, Agnosticism or any other ‘ism’ that fits with this particular bent and causes them to fail to recognize the significance of the cross in all of human history.

Impure and defiled religion – the greatest stumbling block upon which multitudes have tripped and fallen into the fires of hell.

And as the good book states in James 1: 26,27 – ‘If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.’

May God’s grace and love be demonstrated through my life, actions and words so that others may know the reality of Christ and his plan for all mankind.

    I appreciate your perspective on religion and mankind’s need for the “isms” that come with it. I have always felt that organized religion caused us to distance ourselves from our own relationship with God and to lose the understanding that we are all connected to spirit and to each other. Most refreshing is the last sentence of your post, “May God’s grace and love be demonstrated through my life…” If we all act with love and grace as Jesus did, the world would be an infinitely better place.
