Grow Old, Grow Happy

Do you like this story?

340,847 adults, between the ages of 18 and 85 in the U.S.A. were recently questioned about the emotions they experienced ‘yesterday’.

The research published online shows that young adults experience negative emotions more frequently than those who are older. Negative emotions such as stress and anger, are similar in that they consistently decline with age, but worry holds steady until around 50, when it drops off sharply, the study shows.

So the facts are out. Daily stress and worry have been found to take a dive, and happiness increases once people reach 50.

So what does that tell us?

Look after your health while you’re young so that you can grow old, and in growing older every increase in happiness.

Happy is the man or woman who lives long, and laughs long.
